1KB = 1,000 bytes. Choose slightly below a form's limit if needed.

We lower quality first, then dimensions if needed. JPG uses a white background for transparent images.

What does “fit” mean?

The downloaded file is checked against your limit in bytes. We search for the highest usable quality at the current dimensions. If it still won't fit, we shrink the image and try again.

Check the form's other requirements.

File size is only one condition. A form may also require exact pixel dimensions, a particular aspect ratio, content or format. This tool does not certify an application photo. Inspect the result before submitting it.

Will my image stay private?

The image is processed with your browser's canvas. It is never uploaded by this tool. Downloaded results are your files; your original is unchanged. No ads. Usage measurement is optional; see the footer.
