BYTEFIT FIELD NOTES
Compress a photo under 300KB
Reduce file size without uploading your photo.
When a website sets a 300KB maximum, exporting a smaller file can remove a common upload obstacle. The Bytefit tool checks bytes after encoding, rather than assuming a quality slider produces a particular size.
Open the 300KB compressor ↗Choose the output that the form accepts
JPG works for many photographs. WebP may be smaller, but some forms reject it. A file extension change alone is not a conversion; the tool actually encodes the selected format.
Inspect before submitting
At a 300KB setting, the output is at most 300,000 bytes. Check dimensions and visual detail as well. A passport, examination or other application can specify its own aspect ratio, background and minimum dimensions. Bytefit makes no application-approval promise.
Your original stays intact
The tool creates a separate download. It does not replace your photo or send it to a remote compressor.
